Nivis Motor & Machinery Co Ltd - Lautoka, Fiji

The birth of Nivis as a company took place in the year 1976. At that time the Company was called Nivis Hardware (Fiji) Ltd., and at this time it was mainly engaged in the importation and sales of building material, tools, plumbing and electrical supplies.

During 1981 Nivis acquired the distributorship of Mitsubishi motor vehicles for the whole of Fiji. It was at that time that the name of the company was changed from Nivis Hardware to Nivis Motor & Machinery Co. Ltd.

The success of the Company lay in the vision that the management had "to provide a quality product at a competitive price and back it up with full after-sales service and technical knowhow".
